The man Miles Taylor started out as in the wrestling world was the antithesis of what he's become today. Starting out as an outspoken babyface with a motor mouth and a ton of confidence, as well as a knack for getting (and wanting) the crowd on his side, Miles went on a hefty losing streak in a company known as Alpha Wrestling. This streak broke him mentally, and he realized that as much fan support as he could gather, as many catchphrases and nicknames as he could come up with, the approval of others and their liking of him would never bring him success. Therefore, Taylor snapped. He wants to prove not only does he not need nor want the admiration of anybody, he wants to prove what he initially thought was already apparent when he started wrestling just under a year ago: that he's already one of the best in the world. However, he doesn't do so with technical wrestling, or being a high flying spot monkey, or by having some flashy apparel - Miles proves his point by hitting his opponents with stiff strikes, aiming to take a couple of teeth with him every match from every unlucky adversary that stands opposite him in the squared circle. He's violent, he's angry, he's explosive, he's aggressive, and he might even be a little mad in the head - deranged, if you will. These are all apparent in both his in-ring work and the way he speaks. If there's one phrase to sum up what Miles is now? It's a ruthless, deranged, vicious man on a mission.

Entrance

Miles (in his ring gear and a gray hoodie) walks out onto the stage, pausing at the top of the ramp as he lets the crowd reaction set it. Smirking, Miles ignores the reaction/gives the fans the finger (match author discretion) as he makes his way down the ramp. Upon reaching the ring, he wipes his left hand across his mouth and jaw as he hops and plants his right knee on the apron. Hoisting himself up, Miles enters through the middle rope and heads to the center of the ring, falling to one knee as he extends his arms out to his sides. After soaking up more of the reaction from the crowd, Miles returns to a vertical base and heads to one of the opposite corners, turning around and using the turnbuckle to support his weight. After a couple of seconds, he then switches his position to where he is seated on the second turnbuckle, his hood still draped over his head as he lowers it, mentally preparing himself for the match ahead.

MOTIVATIONS

What are your character’s motivations for competing?

Miles, at heart, simply wants to prove he's the best, but not for anyone else: for himself. Any rookie can waltz into the wrestling world and claim they're the best. At age 22, and a little under a year on his belt, Miles Taylor has won one title - the PWF International Championship. He doesn't want his words to be empty, no matter how much they cut through anyone listening with the passion he says them with - he wants them to have substance to back them up, also. So his motivation, outsides of mentally scarring and physically dismantling his opponent to get his message across, is simple - win the top strap, and reign with a death grip. You want the title? You better aim for the head, because you're gonna have to kill Miles to get it.

NOTES

Miles' temper is a new found 'power' within himself, so he doesn't have full control over it yet. If a face is smart enough to let Taylor work himself up over anything, such as frustration for not being able to put an opponent away, it's much more likely he'll eventually slip up and make a mistake, allowing for an opening. This is his biggest weakness.

However, Taylor also is a master of taking control if the match is rather mat/grapple/submission based. His ability to wear opponents down is a rather understated talent that the wrestler has, given that he's more known for his vicious strikes and stiff/blunt shots when the match is going quick and hot. When things slow down, that's when Miles is even more deadly, like a boa constricting it's victim(s). This is his secret biggest strength. If an opponent lets Miles get in control in this state for too long, it's over.
