Kento Miyahara vs. Naomichi Marufuji Champion Carnival 2018 Finals - 9.5/10

LIKE HOLY FUCK THIS MATCH WAS GREAT! For those that don't know what CC is, well it's AJPW equal to the G1 with the winner getting a title shot against the Triple Crown Heavyweight champ (Which at this time is Miyahara). Marufuji is possibly the best Japanese wrestler to transition from Junior to Heavyweight but one of the biggest thing people hate about him is that his matches aren't great past the 15 minute mark. Kento on the other hand is possible the best company Figurehead in wrestling today (Yes even better then Okada imo), his ability to connect with the crowds with Promos, in-ring work and really good storytelling have made one of the best in Japan rn.

They also held the finals in Korakuen, so you know the crowd was going to be red hot for it.

In the end great storytelling, great in-ring work, great knee strikes and a perfect finish ends possibly the best Champion Carnival in a long time.
